Support for Women

Project Co-ordinator Yasmin

I have been running the Rising Stars Children’s Holiday Club at CYCD for over 5 years now. Issues around women’s health have always been important to me, as I have a lot of experience in supporting women affected by many issues including mental health, well-being and domestic abuse.

We know these issues has a significant impact on women and their children therefore, providing a safe space for women to talk and to address these issues in these difficult times is really important.

CYCD is now providing a culturally sensitive service that is confidential and non-Judgemental and offering information, advice, advocacy as well as support for women  (and their children) who are suffering   from or at risk of abuse or facing problems on issues including mental health & self esteem.  Our aim is to empower women to gain more control over their lives, live without fear and assert their rights to Justice, equality and freedom. Whatever the issue, I’m here every Monday & Wednesdays, for you to come and have a chat.
